Originally from Brownfield, Texas, Michael first came out to Los Angeles, California in 1983 to attend Sound Masters Engineering School to pursue a career in music. After 35 years of owning recording studios, such as Mad Dog Studios Venice & Burbank, Radio Recorders Hollywood, and a partnership at Horse Latitudes Glendale, Michael has returned home to Texas in 2021. Over the course of his Los Angeles career, Michael also extensively toured as a FOH Engineer with nationally touring artists, such as Dwight Yoakam, Shania Twain, Fuel, and Robby Krieger & Ray Manzarek.

The music Michael produces, mixes, and records has a "live, organic feel" while capturing the vision of the client---ultimately creating something of value that will stand the test of time. He has had the pleasure of working on records that became award-winning and chart-climbing hits, like Martina McBride's "Timeless," Dwight Yoakum's "Guitars, Cadillacs, etc.", Roy Orbison and k.d. lang's rendition of "Crying," Lucinda Williams "Sweet Old World," Earl Scruggs' "Earl Scruggs and Friends," and more.
